we have stared into each others eves we have put our ears up to the drywall and listened we have trained the cat to wash the floors we have propped the door open slightly we have let the works choose their own spots on the
floors and walls we have spoken our secrets aloud in the center of
the room with our eyes closed we have crossed our fingers behind are backs
we have let the creatures in we have stood with anticipation in the doorway we have looked ourselves in the eyes in the
bathroom mirror we have stared down at our feet silently outside we have stood with a wet brush hesitating before the
surface
Inside each of us, a remote desire

Remote Desire is an exhibition of that brings together the work of two artists who are in love with each other. It features a series of paintings by Daniel Champion and ceramic sculptures by Tatiana Sky. Together, they bring you a speculative environment of bodily and poetic unsureness.

an exploration of place an unearthed inner longing
an escape from grief an embrace of the spiritual unknown
a fantasy, almost paradise

A ruin, a garden, the inside of a shell. The wind is blowing through the gallery. The point of contact between two things that become the point of contact between forces of nature or forces of the unnatural. A spell is cast. A glance is transfixed. The air is filled with calm tense churning expectation. The question lingers in the air. The shifting of something tectonic that has arrived here from someplace ancient and something still bubbles under its surface. The exhibition is filled with hands that probe and caress and join together in their not knowing. The doors open and a ghost of wind bursts in with scraps of things, fragments, memories, and shadow people. A quiet yearning is suppressed.
